About The Artist
Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch painter born in 1853. He started his career in various jobs before fully committing to art in his late twenties. His early works were dark and focused on peasant life. Moving to Paris in 1886 exposed him to new artistic styles, brightening his palette and changing his technique. In 1888, he moved to Arles, where he created some of his most famous works like “Sunflowers” and “The Bedroom”. Despite his prolific output, Van Gogh struggled with mental health issues, leading to his tragic death in 1890 at the age of 37. Although he wasn’t successful during his lifetime, his work gained immense popularity posthumously, making him one of the most celebrated artists in history.
